Co-Founder & CEO
Tal leads Cal Retrofit and its sister operating companies. Under his leadership the organization has grown to over 100 employees and fortified more than 800 buildings across Southern California. Tal is a vocal advocate for construction innovations like light gauge steel, gray water, and solar in residential design.

Carlos Escudero
Commercial Retrofit Consultant
10+ years in retrofits and construction consulting. Carlos specializes in seismic retrofit, building envelope improvements, energy efficiency, and balcony repair under SB-721 and SB-326. He runs structural assessment and leads project teams in the field.

David Migdal
Operations Director, Balcony Safety
Over a decade of HOA and SB-326 balcony experience. David has presented 100+ projects to HOA boards and carries 80+ client letters of reference. His specialty: turning complex structural findings into executive summaries that HOA boards understand, then managing the repair process from kickoff through closeout.
Plus a licensed and insured field crew across Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura counties: structural welders, framers, foremen, and a permit-runner who knows every counter at LADBS by first name.
